Petit Lot Fumé Blanc

Windows Estate Petit Lot Fumé Blanc is sourced from five rows of Sauvignon Blanc grown in the estate vineyard in Margaret River just 1.5 kilometres from the Indian Ocean.

The vines are planted in a north-south orientation, with the fruit shaded for greater retention of mineral characters and natural acid.

The fruit is harvested in the early morning. It naturally ferments on skins over two weeks. The juice is lightly pressed off mid ferment and pumped to three year old French oak to complete fermentation.

The wine matures in barrel for 11 months. It is aged a further 12 months in bottle prior to release.

Brilliant pale straw, Windows Estate Petit Lot Fumé Blanc has lemon zest flavours, fresh natural acidity and a long mineral finish. Cellaring potential is three years.
